PLAN WITH ME | A WEEK IN JULY | PURPLE EDITION | UNCONVENTIONAL BULLET JOURNALING #4

    phazesofthemoon:

7.27.2017 This is my first crack at this whole blogging thing.

This entry was one of my favorites for July because I used my favorite array of colors. The paper resembled a light wood grain which really tied in the rose gold and purple accents. I gained inspiration for this entry on a beach trip while filming. The water gave off a purple hue and I knew I wanted to center a piece about the two.

I began the video by using a pencil to trace out my plan for the page, using a ruler to create the three sided rectangles to fill each day. I used washi tape to line the top of the page creating a margin and also allowing for the page to be cut revealing a Dutch door page.

Those pages are very helpful because the week can continue on and you are still able to see the rest of the week.

I used a tombow mono pen to do most of my writing and a mixture of supertips, tombows, and stampin up markers to create the rest. Sketchbook paper was used to make the separate July and date circles. A nice quote from “How to Kill a Mocking Bird” rests in the top right corner reading, “ Poetry is what happens when your mind stops working for a moment and all you do is feel”.

The accent in the bottom right corner is my favorite. To create that I used the wood paper again for the table and cut out the succulents from the washi tape roll they were on. The questions were compiled from a variety of sources on pinterest. I hope you enjoy the video.

    xoxo marly

7.28.2017 For August I was feeling a little green. My spread focuses on the green foliage and acts of gardening this month. Featured in the first picture is the cover page for August sporting a large circle filled with green beads. August is written in cursive within the circle.

The video that shows the entire process is linked to the photo. This spread also comes with a free printable to properly help make your lives easier during the bullet journaling process. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2VCe7SUuF0OUUlMQUlhclJYUDQ/view?usp=sharing

The template includes the cover page, the three sided rectangles, date circles, daily questions and doodles for the mood tracker. This quick guide will hopefully help you successfully set up your next spread in a smaller amount of time.

I used various supplies in my spread all listed in the youtube description. Another way to make this more successful would be to have a cover for the journal. There are still covers available in my shop for them. Make sure to check them out and give the video a thumbs up!!
